| Gonna start keeping track of Isabel's growth and milestones. She's already 7 1/2 months old!
Milestones so far:
-Sits well on her own (since 6 months)
-Beginning to making crawling movements, yet not interested. When
mommy puts an object in front of me, I try and try to reach for it,
then get frustrated b/c it's hard to move my big body around.
-Smiles a lot. Since a few weeks ago, I've matured alot and am a
lot more responsive. I actually really enjoy seeing and
interacting people. It's no longer stressful for me to be in
large crowds. I love giving people huge smiles and squeeling at
the top of my lungs.
Feeding:
Because I'm a big, growing girl, mommy put me on 3 meals around 7
months. Abigail didn't start at 3 meals until she was 9 months
old.
Here's my basic schedule since 7 months:
Early Morning: Breastfeed - then I go back to sleep right away.
9 am - Fruit with cereal/oats/barley
NAP
12 pm - Veggies with cereal/oats/formula
NAP
3 pm - Breastfeed
6 pm - Rice porridge with chicken and veggies
NAP
9 pm - Breastfeed
9:30-10:30 Go to sleep....
Sleeping
For the past 3 weeks, I've been having problems sleeping through the
night. I always like to wake up around 3-4 am. And mommy
cannot ignore my cries b/c she knows these type of cries will not stop
until she comes to my rescue. Luckily, she's been gracious, walks
over to the crib, calms me down, often nurses me and puts me back to
sleep quickly. I hope I can sleep through the night as I used to
so my parents can get some sleep. Can you believe I used to sleep
12 hours/night before? After all the traveling back and forth to
LA, I started to have problems...

| 4 week appointment
I'm growing so fast. I had my one month check up and here are my stats:
Weight: 11 lbs, 1 oz
Height: 23 inches
I'm in the 75-95 percentile. My
sister Abigail was around 11 lbs when she was 2 months old...I think
I'll grow bigger than her. My doctor made me get another blood
test. can you believe that??? She said my jaundice is not
completely gone, but it doesn't help to be Asian or
breastfed...hopefully I'm doing okay.
Please pray for me b/c I like to be held
ALOT...so this tires out my parents. This morning at 5am, I
wanted to play, so mommy and daddy took turns holding and rocking me,
so they're really tired. Mommy calls me a "high-need" baby.
I'm not like my sister who is very independent and likes to do her own
thing. I enjoy being held and talked to. I think I'll grow
to be a very affectionate person. My parents are already seeing
how different the two Kang princesses are. We're all so unique,
but very special b/c God made us so beautiful!

| Happy Three weeks to Princess Isabel.
Just a few facts about the day I was born (this is more for my family's
recordings). Mommy started her contractions at 5:30 am. She
woke up daddy around 6:30 saying "Our baby may come today". I was
actually due on 6/26, so I came two days early. Mommy then called
grandma and booked her a flight to come up later that day. Mommy
took a shower, got herself ready for the big push. She requested
a BIG Breakfast from McDonald's as her last meal before I came.
So, daddy went out and bought her the breakfast with lots of extra
hashbrowns...I can't wait to taste them myself.
Mommy called Serena to let her know she'll be taking care of my sister
Abigail. Mommy also called Odelia's mommy to ask if my sister
could hang out there until her nap time. So, when Abigail woke up
around 10am, mommy decided to take another bath with Abigail to relax
her body. Daddy then dropped off Abigail at Odelia's close to
11am. When he returned, mommy thought she would go into the
hospital to get the benefits of the epidural.
They got to the hospital around 12pm. Did you know my mommy did
her hair and put on makeup to welcome me into the world??? She's
so funny. The hospital staff were so surprised she was all made
up and calm before giving birth. When she got to the
hospital, she was 4 cm dilated. The nurses there took their sweet
old time doing things, while mommy was squeezing daddy's poor little
hands like crazy to cope with her painful contractions. She
finally asked if she can get the epidural and the nurses said they
would need to take a blood test, take it to the lab, and then decide if
she can get it. So, she waited and waited. The
anesthegiologist finally came around 1:20...then, she had to sign some
papers and agree to the possible dangers of the epidural, etc.
She finally got pricked with the needle in her back, and once she felt
the numbing of the pain, she felt like pushing. I was so anxious
to enter the world. When the midwife realized mommy was already
10cm dilated, daddy decided to go out real quick to get the camera from
the car. On the way back, the nurses outside mommy's room were
telling daddy to hurry up. Daddy thought something went wrong,
but they were telling daddy to hurry up b/c I was half way out! I
literally came out in three pushes, in less than 5 minutes! What
a world record! Luckily, daddy was there to cut the umbilical
cord and take pictures of me getting cleaned up. Unfortunately,
daddy missed the joy of counting 1 through 10, pushing with
mommy. So, I came into the world at 1:56 pm. Then, for the
next few days, I literally slept and slept and slept...
